We will be hosting a semi-annual Fundraiser on Saturday, June 22nd, from 2pm to 5pm on Union Street in Alameda in a beautifully restored Queen Anne residence. There will be classical music, wine and chocolate pairing and a large number of silents auction items. All proceeds goes to Handability programs. $35 per person. Please contact us for details and location..
We will come to your workplace or home and teach knitting or crochet to your selected group of participants for a fee. Contact us to set up an appointment. The fee schedule can be found under How to Schedule.
Local Craft Fairs
We will provide information and enlist volunteers as well as the show—perhaps even sell—finished products created by staff, volunteers, and especially the students. The giving comes full circle: the student, now able to support their own craft activities, sells their product and passes the gains forward to the next person in need.
We hope to participate in health fairs to promote the benefits of doing crafts.
We will host drop-off events where you can donate old or unused materials.
Classes for Volunteers
Once we have a group of volunteers signed up we will schedule a class to teach the required skills. These include basic craft skills as well as learning how best to engage with those with various degrees of abilities.
